Old Quarter tips
- Weekend walking street: from Friday to Sunday evening the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake and parts of the Old Quarter close to cars. Ask your Grab driver to drop you on Hang Bong, Dinh Tien Hoang or Bach Dang.
- Many spas are upstairs or down a narrow lane. Save the exact address in Google Maps before you leave the hotel.
- Book an hour or two ahead on Friday and Saturday nights — the good spas fill up.
- Ignore street touts offering “massage, massage” — reputable spas don’t need them.
